Reverse osmosis is indiscriminate: it strips the minerals you want along with the contaminants you don't. These three cartridges sit after the membrane and put something back. The alkaline filter lifts pH toward a healthy neutral-alkaline; the copper filter infuses copper for taste and the properties copper vessels have been valued for; the mineral cartridge runs layered media beds that restore balance and body. All three share the same inline fitting and the same 8-inch body, so swapping between them is a two-minute job.

Common questions

Which of the three should I choose?

Alkaline if your concern is pH and you want the largest media charge; copper if you want the taste and the traditional copper benefits; mineral if you simply want RO water that doesn't taste flat. Many customers run copper and alkaline together.

Does this change the TDS reading?

Slightly, yes — adding minerals back raises measured TDS by a small margin. That is expected and desirable; very low TDS water tastes empty.
