The TDS adjuster is a small blend valve with a brass adjusting screw that bleeds a controlled amount of filtered, pre-membrane water into the permeate line, lifting output TDS to a level that tastes like water rather than nothing. Set once at installation with a TDS meter, then left alone. Push-fit ports, food-grade body, leak-proof under continuous pressure.

Is this the same as a flow restrictor?

No. The restrictor meters reject water on the waste line; the TDS adjuster blends filtered water into the output line. They sit on opposite sides of the membrane.
